棚に積もった塵を拭うとき、その微細な存在に対して自分の力があまりにも大きすぎるように感じた。
その塵／生活の瞬きが長い時間を紡いでくれているのに、それらに気を留めることもなく生きてきたのだ。

移ろいゆく日々の中で、認知しえなかった微細な気配を感じ取るために空間にささやかなものを配する。

それは、この世界にあふれる大きな声への小さな抵抗にもなり得ると考えている。

 

When I wipe away the dust that has settled on a shelf, I feel that my power is far too great for such delicate existences.

Even though that dust — the flickers of everyday life — has been weaving a long stretch of time, I have lived without ever turning my attention to it.

To sense the subtle presences I could not recognize amid the shifting days, I place small, quiet things within a space.

I believe this may become a small resistance against the loud voices that overflow in this world.
